About UO Advocates
UO Advocates are volunteers working in collaboration with the UO Alumni Association and university staff to ensure affordability and access for our students, deliver a rich, excellent educational experience, build our faculty and promote scholarship and scientific research.
Advocates come from the ranks of alumni, faculty, friends, staff, and students of the University of Oregon, who all strive to represent the UO and advance its legislative priorities. Anyone who is interested can be a UO Advocate.
As an advocate, YOU help make the University of Oregon more accessible and affordable for current and future students by adding your voice.

Advancing the UO's Mission

The University of Oregon provides Oregonians and their peers from around the world access to an excellent education. We challenge our students to question critically, think logically, communicate clearly, act creatively, and live ethically.
We serve the people of Oregon, our nation, and the world through research, teaching, and outreach that benefits humanity, drives innovation, strengthens the economy, and transforms lives.
Why Alumni and Community Voices Matter

The University of Oregon’s impact reaches far beyond campus, and policymakers listen most closely to the people who carry that impact into their communities. When alumni and community members share how UO has shaped their lives, careers, and regions, it brings real-world context to policy conversations at both the state and federal level.
Your voice helps ensure legislators understand that investments in the University of Oregon are investments in Oregon’s people, workforce, and future.
