Last year, UO graduate students won first place in The Science Coalition’s Student Video Challenge with a 90-second video about federal research funding and their work to improve healing outcomes for bone injuries.

Congress has not yet finalized FY27 funding decisions. When lawmakers return to Washington after the August recess, they will have an opportunity to reject harmful cuts and support the investments that drive discovery, innovation, workforce development, and economic growth.

Members of Congress need to hear from constituents who believe continued U.S. leadership in scientific discovery matters.
