Write Your State Lawmakers: Thank you for protecting higher education in 2026.

The 2026 legislative session has concluded, and thanks to the engagement of advocates across Oregon, the Legislature protected critical investments in students and public universities.

Despite significant budget pressures, lawmakers avoided cuts to the Public University Support Fund and the Oregon Opportunity Grant, and programs like the Oregon Tribal Student Grant remained whole. These investments help ensure that students across Oregon can continue to access opportunity through higher education.

Advocates from the University of Oregon community helped make that outcome possible by attending town halls, sending messages to legislators, and participating in advocacy events like University Day at the Capitol.
